Learning HTML & CSS

HTML & CSS are core languages to learn when wanting to get started in web design. Not only can it start your journey on creating beautiful web designs but both languages are simply worth learning to support you throughout the web. HTML and CSS can come in handy in discovering fake buttons, scams, forms etc on web pages. This is all done through inspect element, which is where you can inspect the HTML and CSS on ANY webpage.

HTML: Hypertext Markup Language.

CSS: Cascading Style Sheets.

So what have we learnt? HTML is the core code which structures a webpage and CSS is the style side of things; adds colour, (some) animations and sizing. A good way to remember is think of HTML as the human skeleton but of a webpage. And CSS is the beautiful outside appearance which makes it looks all fancy and smart.

The good thing about HTML and CSS is both languages are very similar to English. Unlike backend-programming which is rather complex, HTML and CSS are pretty basic and even a newbie could have a good go at guessing what certain HTML and CSS tags are. For example in HTML:

<p> = Paragraph.

<li> = List.

So there you have it, a great first lesson at learning HTML and CSS!
